Melanie’s Story
I love art because I love bright colours. I was very happy and very excited when I saw my picture hanging up in Manchester.
We help people who find it hard to get work or face barriers in the job market to find and stay in work.
We support people with disabilities, mental health issues and people who have had a period out of work into real paid jobs.
We work with businesses to identify suitable roles and then match them to right people.
We support people with learning disabilities to develop their confidence, learn new skills and try new experiences.
Our day care activities bring added fun and purpose to each day.
Usually based in our centres, they include drama, floristry, computers and much more.
The best way to support people with a learning disability is though real experiences out in the community.
Our work experience projects are based out in the wider community and include art studio cafes and gardening in local parks.
We support young people with learning difficulties to learn new skills and develop their independence.
From learning to use public transport to getting work experience whilst at school, we are here to help.
Pure is also setting up a range of peer support projects for young people in care.
