Care Cadets Scheme

Pure Innovations works in partnership with Stockport Council and local colleges, Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College and Stockport College, to place people on a Care Cadet scheme.

Initiated in 2004, care students interested in working with adults with disabilities have completed a Care Cadet placement at Pure Innovations.

This autumn, Pure Innovations plans on recruiting four Care Cadets. For more information on this, contact David Beech (details below).

If you're about to leave school and would like to apply to become a Care Cadet working with adults with disabilities here at Pure Innovations, please contact our Human Resources team.

Success for a Care Cadet

katy-wilson-achiever-of-the-year-and-david-beechKaty Wilson joined Pure Innovations through the Care Cadet scheme while she was completing her qualifications at Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form college.  Following her placement and studies, she then successfully applied to work at Pure Innovations as a Day Services Assistant.

Katy's always shown dedication and commitment to her course and chosen career, and as recognition of this, earlier this year she was nominated for, and won the presitigious ‘Learning and Skills Council Personal Achiever of the Year' award for Greater Manchester.

The ‘Personal Achiever of the Year' award recognises the outstanding contribution made by individuals. Elaine Bowker, LSC Area Director for Greater Manchester said, "All our nominees have shown the commitment and determination needed to succeed."

Katy's Line Manager, David Beech says, "We're thrilled that Katy won, it's such a prestigious award and shows her outstanding achievement throughout the scheme -she's definitely a worthy winner."
