How to Apply

Before you submit your application you are strongly advised to read these guidelines:

In order to be considered for a Pure Innovations vacancy you must either complete our application form or submit a CV.  If you choose to submit a CV you must ensure that it covers all the areas on the application form including the sections on criminal convictions and monitoring information.

To ensure that recruitment and selection for Pure Innovations vacancies is as fair as possible we have designed our application form to be ‘bias free'.  This means that we do not ask for information on the form about your gender, age, ethnicity, sexuality etc.  The short listing panel only receive information that is relevant to the short listing process - relevant experience and skills in relation to the vacancy, employment history, education and training.

We believe this approach ensures best practice and that applications are considered on merit only.  We also believe that it further reduces the possibility of any form of discrimination taking place.

It is also important that you complete the monitoring information sheet as this will help us to monitor the effectiveness of our Equality and Diversity policy in relation to recruitment and selection.  Monitoring information is separated from your application as soon as it is received and treated as confidential.  It is not passed onto anyone involved in short listing or interviewing for the vacancy.

If you find it difficult to read the application form in colour, or you need a larger print size, you may photocopy it to give you a clear black and white copy to complete.  We can also help you with other adaptations you may need when making your application.  Please contact the HR team on 0161 474 5921 if you require further assistance.

Handy hints and tips

Examine the job description and person specification of the role you are applying for.  These indicate the essential criteria and the desirable criteria. Your application will be assessed to see if your skills, knowledge and experience match that required for the job.

Analyse your experience

Ask yourself why you are interested in working for Pure Innovations and why you are interested in this particular job.  What examples can you provide to demonstrate you have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience?  Consider any experience you have acquired outside work, such as community, voluntary or leisure interests, or other experience you have gained through your daily life.

The decision to shortlist is based solely on the information you provide on the application form.   Your application must include information which gives clear evidence as to how you feel you meet the specific requirements of the job you are applying for.
