Pure is the lead in the Greater Manchester Community Radio Alliance a consortium of 11 Community Radio Stations based around Manchester. The consortium was awarded by Ofcom (the industry regulator) Community Radio Fund grant that is “substantially higher amount than the average” as this is across the region which covers 2 million people.
The Community Radio Fund is awarded through funding from Department for Culture, Media and Sport to support community radio stations with their core costs such as management, fundraising and volunteering.
The grant funds an exciting new post representing 11 stations to public and private sector advertisers.
The stations represented along with very own Pure 107.8 fm, are:
