Pure invited to attend National and local Conferences and Seminars
Pure representatives have recently attended a number of national Conferences. This has included the National Children and Adult Services Conference at Harrogate International Centre, Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd October and Welfare to Work at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London on Thursday 5th November.
We were able to meet with delegates from local authorities and government organisations and representatives from other companies who were interested in obtaining information on our unique supported employment programme Pure Employment and how we can modernise day services through our community volunteering initiatives.
Representatives from our Barking and Dagenham Pure Employment Team recently attended The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) Conference on ‘Enterprise and Employment for People with Learning Difficulties or Disabilities’ in London on 13th November. The event provided an opportunity to share policy and practice to enable employers to employ people with learning disabilities.
We were delighted that Pure's client David Gourley was also invited to speak about his job in Office Support for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. David gave an inspiring speech with feedback stating ‘it was fantastic to see what could be achieved for both the individual and the employer with the right support in place.’
Members of the Business Development Team recently presented a seminar on Wednesday 25th November to The University of the Third Age members in Macclesfield who were keen to understand the history of the company and our unique work in Greater Manchester.
