PURE Employment
Pure Employment
Pure Employment is our unique Supported Employment programme which offers an unrivalled service to both job seekers and employers. We provide this service in various locations funded by local authorities and the Department of Work and Pensions. We have also partnered with schools, colleges and the Learning and Skills Council.
We believe that people can only learn how to work by being in employment, and that with the right support, anyone who wants to work can work.

Why Unique?
Pure has a reputation for obtaining sustainable employment with the most disabled and disadvantaged people who are furthest away from the labour market.
We do this through adopting a “jobs first” approach which is incredibly successful, rather than people being in the never ending cycle of work preparation. This approach has allowed us to succeed where other providers have failed.
Pure provide continuous support and monitoring to both clients and employers once employment has been gained; we remain with them, offering advice and guidance enabling progression.
This model has earned us an Outstanding Grade 1 result in all areas of delivery during an inspection by Ofsted in December 2007 and has been used as a model of Good Practice by other organisations.
What makes us different from the rest?
All clients referred to Pure are allocated a dedicated Employment Officer who will provide an individualised person-centred service that enables a thorough insight into their needs, allowing the production of a comprehensive work development plan. This equips the Employment Officer to match their client’s skills to those required by employers.
Through our Person Centred Approaches you can expect:

How you can Embrace a Diverse Workforce
Part of the supported employment model, Embracing Diversity allows us to work at a more strategic level with large public and private sector employers to support them to recruit and retain a diverse workforce.
Between 2001 – 2005 we managed a project, funded by Equal European funding, which piloted new ways of working with large employers through establishing partnerships with HR departments who wished to benefit from recruiting a diverse workforce. Many employers wished to know how to attract, appoint and employ people from diverse backgrounds because they knew that this makes good business sense.
Building on from this model, we have continued to advise employers and implement models of best practice in the recruitment of disadvantaged people and delivered training on disability awareness and systematic training methods. We facilitate meetings with employers to share and learn from each others best practice. As well as being a bridge for the job seeker and employer, we offer support and advice throughout the journey through training to employment.
We have successfully piloted many initiatives with employers such as:

Partnerships
In order for the supported employment model to be successful, we establish partnerships with a wide range of employers from public, private and not-for-profit sectors working in retail, hospitality, catering, health services, education, police and fire services, and establish close relationships with HR Managers, especially those within local authorities, NHS, Primary Care Trusts and housing associations.
Employers are aware that employing a diverse workforce makes good business sense and with Pure's support and guidance do this efficiently and effectively.
