... Pure Innovations work with Young People?
Pure Innovations has a team of two Employment Officers that have the knowledge and relationships to work alongside all other relevant agencies in and around Stockport. They work closely with Stockport Council's Children and Young People's Department, Connexions, foster parents and children's homes.
Most young people have little idea of what they want to do regardless of their situations but imagine how much harder it is for those who have no role models or steady backing and support at home? Very often there is stubborn resistance to any form of further education or training. We seek to help them in their decision as to whether to pursue a future in education, training or work or perhaps a combination of all three.
Once a job or course has been found it is normal for our support to be extended. Young people from care can find it difficult to meet the expectations of timekeeping, attendance and behaviour at work.
Over the past few years we have had considerable success in helping our local care-leavers take their difficult first steps.
