Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council serves a population of almost 300,000 residents and employs around 12,500 staff. Jobs within the Council cover almost every occupation you can think of and are as wide ranging as cleaners, solicitors, teachers and bricklayers.
The Council is committed to it's vision of creating a 'Cleaner, Greener, Safer, Stronger' Stockport. It seeks to promote equality and the employment of a diverse workforce, which reflects the community it serves.
Pure Innovations has worked in partnership with the Council since the Embracing Diversity project began. Throughout the years, they have embraced many different ways of recruiting, and we're grateful to them for helping to develop 'Corporate Parenting', and introducing 'Working Interviews'. The have always been very proactive in workshops and sessions around employment and truly welcome people from all backgrounds.
The Human Resources Department have been particularly supportive in carving up job roles and providing opportunities for people with disabilities.
