Pop down for a natter with Pure and the Chatty Café Scheme!

Posted on the 24th October 2017

It’s natural to have a natter over a pot of tea or mugs of steaming coffee, though sometimes we don’t always have someone to share our thoughts with. The world can be a lonely place and loneliness hurts, but it doesn’t always have to be that way.

We’re very happy to announce that Pure’s cafés will be taking part in the wonderful Chatty Café Scheme, aimed at bringing together people who find themselves lonely and in need of a chat over a cuppa.

The scheme was created on a wet and windy day when I was in a supermarket café with my four month old son. He wasn't great company and I was feeling fed up.

I looked round the café and saw an elderly lady who looked just as down and a young guy with severe additional needs and his support. I started to think about the positive impact we could have on each other if we could all have a chat.

Alex, Chatty Café founder
