What Pure Staff Say About Pure

Posted on the 4th October 2018

What an endorsement!  97% of Pure staff  who responded to our survey feel that the work we do impacts positively on people’s lives.

And 94% feel that their own job impacts positively on people’s lives. These are just two of the results results from our recent staff survey. There are more below.

Why What Our Staff  Think Matters.

The people who work within our organisation see day-to-day the way our services support people with a learning difficulty, disability or additional need.

Amongst many other roles they:

  • nurture growth in client confidence and wellbeing through our supported activities
  • pass on new skills in our  cafes
  • build client confidence with our Travel Training, Steps and Education programmes
  • tailor work placements to individual strength on our Supported Internships
  • facilitate life-changing improvements by sourcing paid jobs for clients who imagined this could never happen.

Our staff are our greatest asset. We value their opinions. That is why we asked for their views on a number of subjects in our anonymous staff survey.

Over 50% of our staff responded to our staff survey this year. We are delighted with this feedback but also challenged in the areas we can do better for our teams. Our teams are the daily face of Pure. The experience clients have daily with them is of utmost importance to us. We will listen to what our staff are telling us and we will challenge each other on how we can improve.

From all of the results, I am most proud with question 16, the highest scoring feedback, which relates to the positive impact on peoples lives. 97% of staff who responded to the survey believe we are having a positive impact on peoples lives – this is fantastic to see as this is our whole reason for being.

Louise Parrott-Bates

Other results included 93% of respondents agreeing that they are proud to work for Pure. Challenges include the room for improvement in keeping staff informed about important news and events. Only 87% of respondents felt this to be the case.

You can see all the survey results here.

Our thanks to all members of staff who took time to complete the survey. Your input is very much appreciated.
