New Year, New Job?

Posted on the 4th January 2019

Dave had been a taxi driver for 14 years when he decided he needed a change. Now he is a Community Support Worker (CSW) with Pure – and he is loving it.  See why in his mini video. (subtitles)

"It is the best move I ever, ever made" - Dave Williams on working for Pure.

Dave’s views echo those of many people involved in Pure services. Supporting someone with learning difficulties as they learn to shoot hoops,  make ceramics, edit a radio show, prepare food in our cafes or any other of our many activities, gives a genuine sense of achievement at the end of the working day.

Another brilliant thing is that it is good for my own health. For years my work involved sitting down all day long in my cab. Now I am up and moving all the time and I feel so much better for it.

We all build such a good rapport with the clients too. There is always lots of friendly banter and it's a great way to spend a day.
