Nathan Gets His Dream Job – Loreto Supported Internship

Posted on the 21st March 2019

Nathan is an intern on the Loreto College Supported Internship and his retail placement has earned him a paid job at the Co-op. When Nathan started on the Supported Internship he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do as a career. As soon as he started at the Co-op however, he knew straight away retail was for him.

Nathan’s first placement was at a Co-op in Didsbury where he was able to build his skills and grow in confidence. Feeling prepared and determined he then moved to the branch in Sale. He quickly impressed his new colleagues and manager. Nathan soon became valued as a member of the team.

To Nathan’s delight the manager was so impressed he offered him the job. Nathan’s work ethic at the Co-op is second to none and he always goes above and beyond!

Nathan speaks about his placement and the Loreto Supported Internship!

Nathan has been working with us for a short time and in that time he has grown in confidence, uses his initiative and has gained the skills to become a Customer Team Member (CTM)

Jo Jones - CTM at Cross Street Co-operative

Nathan does every task to the best of his ability and doesn’t leave until it is done, even if his shift has finished. He has been getting some fantastic feedback from his colleagues saying that they have never seen the store so neat.

With all these skills now under his belt he really proved he was ready for employment. Nathan is delighted with his paid role as a CTM and is looking forward to what his career in retail holds. Many congratulations Nathan and very well deserved! Also, thank you to Cross Street Co-op for being such a great supportive employer.
