Mayor of Trafford Tom Ross Visits Our Interns!

Posted on the 30th April 2019

Our Interns have had a very special visit from the Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Tom Ross. Each intern delivered a presentation about themselves and their journey so far on the programme. The Mayor was very interested in all that they said and asked them questions after each presentation.

It has been wonderful to be here and see what the students on the course have achieved over the last year. This has been a fantastic opportunity and it is clear it has helped many young people on the programme gain employment.

It was apparent how much the interns had developed throughout their time on the programme. Just a short while ago many of them would have lacked the confidence to speak publicly in this way.

The Mayor was very interested and impressed by their abilities.

This is Joe’s glowing review of his own Trafford Supported Internship experience …

I have gained more from this course than I have from my whole time at school!

In the presentations the interns introduced themselves, spoke about what they do now and the placements they had done so far. They talked about the skills they had gained, what they have learned and the challenges they have overcame.

What a fantastic experience for the interns! Our warm thanks Cllr Tom Ross for taking the time to hear about all the great work our interns do.
