Our Social Impact in 2018/19

Posted on the 8th May 2019

People are often surprised by the range and variety of the work we do in the community and its social impact. For example our Pure Support projects, these encourage creativity, catering skills, exploring outdoors and much more. 96% of clients surveyed find the projects/activities they do enjoyable and they make them happy.

Here is an insight into our social impact showing how we have helped the community in the last year through stats, facts and inspirational stories.

Did you know we have found 113 people paid work through our Employment and Supported Internship programmes? These include people who needed extra support to train for a job role to work confidently and independently. This is great for clients, and also companies can acquire excellent employees and a more diverse workforce.

We would like to give a huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who have given their time to eight different Pure projects! Here is what one of our volunteers had to say about their favourite part of working with Pure:

The best part about volunteering is the interaction with clients and the work you produce with them!

We are very pleased that 82% of the people referred to Pure’s Wellbeing and Independence Network (WIN) have improved their social networks and reduced isolation. Recently, WIN also started running Dementia Drop-in sessions at our dementia friendly café The Kitchen which has proven very popular. It welcomes people living with dementia and their carers to come out to socialise in a relaxed café environment in order to decrease isolation.
