Access All Areas! Bury Supported Internship Video

Posted on the 13th May 2019

Ever wondered what our interns do on a day to day basis? We have a brilliant video made by our Job Coach Andy Brown to show you just that! See first hand what the interns learn in the classroom, the tasks they do on placement and even the finished result of earning that paid job!

Bury is our newest Supported Internship and it’s been having a great first year. Pure’s Bury team works in partnership with Elms Bank School and Pennine Acute NHS at Fairfield General Hospital. The Bury internship is the perfect path for students at Elms Bank to go from education to employment and fulfill their full potential. This is exactly what is happening with three of our Bury interns already in paid work:

  • Aaron – Grounds Keeper
  • Nathaniel – Electrical and Biomedical Engineering Department
  • Kyle – Pharmacy Department

Now for the video:

Here is what Steve Johnson, Fairfield Hospital’s Building Officer, had to say about Aaron:

Aaron, who's currently working in the gardening department is absolutely brilliant. He just comes in, he gets on with his job, leave him to it and he's a blessing to the service to be quite honest!

What a great start to the Bury Supported Internship with three people in paid work and the rest of the year still to go! A big thank you to Andy Brown for the great video.
