Salford Internship Celebrates First Year On New Site

Our brand new Supported Internship site based in Salford has just had its first celebration event! For this Pure work with University of Salford and Salford City Council who have been great host employers. Also, Eccles College provide the classroom based learning part of the qualification.

The event began with an inspirational speech from the University’s Vice Chancellor Helen Marshall. This was then followed by Councillor Walsh who gave some helpful advice to the young people. There was also a speech by Marcus Young, an employer at Salford University, who spoke about what a great asset the interns have been on their placements.

It was a joyous occasion, especially when the interns went to collect their certificates. Family, Tutors and colleagues alike were all beaming with pride. They held up an envelope decorated with a green ribbon, but it was the contents inside that had the real significance. A certificate for Employability!
