The Kitchen Bread Donations Tackle Holiday Hunger.

Posted on the 24th July 2019

Pure is supporting families impacted by school holiday hunger with donations of our freshly baked bread to three brilliant community projects – and it all starts today!

Over the next six weeks,  we will be baking over 200 extra loaves at our  Stockport cafe and bakery The Kitchen

These will be donated to Bridgehall Pantry at Number 5 , All Saints Church Heaton Norris  and The Lighthouse project at Brinnington Community Church .

All three projects provide food for people in need in their community.

School holidays should be a time for fun but for parents on a tight budget providing five extra meals a week for each child  adds up to a real challenge. It is little wonder that community food projects come under additional  pressure at these times.

We are delighted to help these three great local projects in this way.

Our vision for The Kitchen has always been to provide a community resource. Holiday hunger is unfortunately a serious problem and we want to do our bit to help.

Our warm thanks to everyone who has put us in touch with the right people and helped us make this happen.
