Congratulations! Pure One Voice 300!

Posted on the 5th August 2019

High fives, party poppers and  big cheers for everyone at our radio show project One Voice. The team has just celebrated its 300th broadcast show!

Celeb Interviews

To mark the occasion they have been looking back and selecting their own personal highlights. These have included interviews with celebrities including X Factor and musicals star Joe McElderry  plus the fabulous Paralympian Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson – winner of 11  gold medals!

From the simple pleasures of  hearing their own voices on the radio to learning new skills such as editing, team members all have a say. Hear their best memories in this brilliant short clip. Click the link and discover the identity of this four-legged friend and why he was such a big hit.

Scruffy, Pet Therapy dog with two embers of One Voice team

This is one of our favourite quotes from the teams’ memories courtesy of one particularly shy and retiring chap.

My confidence has definitely grown, because if you listen to my first show I'm completely shy and nervous but look at me now - working it!

Ben Munsther - One Voice

Totally working it! There is a great perspective from Mike too, surely the Ken Bruce of One Voice with all his experience. Mike the mic!

Making a radio show is not only great fun but it enhances confidence, develops new  skills and is a great way to make new friends.  One Voice is a supported activity for people with learning, sensory or physical disabilities and autism. You can find out more about it by clicking here.
