The Kitchen Café & Bakery Is Coming Stockport Food Festival

Posted on the 6th September 2019

What do a Greatest Showman Tribute act, Simon Rimmer from Sunday Brunch and our café The Kitchen all have in common? We are all going to be at the first ever Stockport Food and Drink Festival!

Clients and staff from The Kitchen have been busy baking bread and cakes ready for their stall! Community is at the heart of The Kitchen’s ethos so we couldn’t wait to get involved. You will find us at Market Hall among other local artisan traders.  Some of our clients/talented bakers are also going to be at our stall lending a helping hand.

We will be there for the full three days of the festival:

  • Friday 6th September 10am – 7pm
  • Saturday 7th September 10am – 7pm
  • Sunday 8th September 10am – 4pm

We would love you to visit us!

The Festival will be taking place across the town centre and is run by Totally Stockport.

There will be lots of entertainment for the whole family on the Main Stage on Merseyway and the Strawberry Sound Stage in Mersey Square. The Greatest Showman Tribute act and Mr Bloom from CBeebies are some of the family fun musical acts. Headlining the Main Stage on Saturday afternoon will be Sunday Brunch’s Simon Rimmer delivering demonstrations of how to make simple delicious dishes plus useful culinary techniques. Sounds like great fun! Find the official time table and map on the link below.

At our own stall The Kitchen will be introducing a brand new range of products with tiger bread and monster bloomer loaves as stars of the show.  However, we are still keeping familiar customer favourites including our ever-popular tomato and parmesan bread.

We will be serving our delicious bread and cakes in style thanks to Hatters who have made our new, very cool branded display crates and slates. And did you know we use flour from Stockport’s very own  Nelstrops. We love Stockport companies!

We at the Kitchen are proud to be part of this amazing festival! Why not come along and join us at this great new Stockport event?
