Pure Is To Be Featured On BBC North West Tonight – Again!

Posted on the 1st October 2019

Have you heard the news? Pure’s Supported Internship programme featured on BBC North West Tonight yesterday and we will be on again this evening too. They are broadcasting on BBC One at 6:30pm tonight. You won’t want to miss it!

Tonight, the spotlight is on supportive employer Horwich Farrelly and their experience of working with our Trafford Supported Internship. They will be following the story of former interns Ed and Harry who successfully secured paid work at the law firm last year. This will be showing the benefits of having people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in the workplace.

Trafford Supported Internship Interns at Supportive Employer Horwich Farrelly after earning a paid job there

Our Chief Executive Officer Louise Parrott-Bates went live on the red sofa last night with broadcasters Annabel Tiffin and Roger Johnson. Here Louise spoke about what a Supported Internship is and how it is a win-win for both employers and interns alike.

So many employers have preconceptions around what someone with a learning disability can achieve and actually many employers are not tapping into that pool of talent and skills. They are hard-working, reliable individuals that are currently being overlooked.

Louise Parrott-Bates, Pure Innovations CEO

Make sure you tune in to BBC North West Tonight – tonight at 6:30pm!
