Pure Support at Blackpool Illuminations!

Posted on the 4th November 2019

What a literally brilliant time was had by all on the visit by Pure Support to Blackpool illuminations! Who cares about a little rain when there is a such a dazzling display of  LEDs, lasers, festoons and animatronics along and beyond the Golden Mile? Everyone loved it!

Not Just Lights

Even before the group arrived at Blackpool there was a holiday atmosphere aboard the Belle Vue coach. Two lively quizzes helped speed the journey along. On arrival there was  time for a bite to eat at Yates where everyone was so welcoming.

Then it was time to enjoy one of the greatest light shows on earth!

Family and Old Friends

There were many oohs and aahs as the bus travelled along the seafront, not least as it passed illuminations celebrating national icons Sooty, Sweep and Sue!

Some clients on the coach were accompanied by parents or carers and what a pleasure it was to have them along.

Alas, the illuminations are now over for another year but what a great way they are to brighten up autumn.

The trip was organised by Pure Volunteer and Community Engagement Officer, Emily Smith and was a great success. How can e be so certain? Because so many clients had the same question: When can we go again?
