Pure Artist’s Ceramic In Manchester Open Exhibition!

Posted on the 17th January 2020

Niall’s vibrant ceramics sculpture (above) has been selected for the Manchester Open Exhibition. The Pure Artist’s work has been chosen by a panel of art experts and community representatives for inclusion in this region-wide exhibition.

The Exhibition

The Manchester Open has been organised by HOME to celebrate the creative talent of Manchester residents. HOME is the city’s exciting centre for contemporary theatre, film, art, music and more. It is just a five minute walk from Oxford Road train station.

The FREE exhibition features a fantastic range of artwork in a variety of media including paintings, photography, sculpture, video, spoken word, performance and more.

This is the first region-wide exhibition of its type to welcome entries from people of any background and level of experience, including established professionals, new and emerging talent, enthusiastic amateurs and first-time artists.

From Pure Art Studio To HOME

Niall hand crafted his exhibition-worthy sculpture in Pure Art Studio’s ceramic sessions.  Equipped with our own kiln, paints and clay the studio offers a great environment for ceramicists.

When he’s not making ceramic pieces Niall also loves to draw and has a great eye for portraits.

I enjoy making art, I like to challenge myself. I make my art for me but I like to surprise people too. My favourite artist is Vermeer. I try new things, I draw and make ceramic busts. I feel proud of what I make.

Do keep an eye out for Niall’s sculpture while visiting the exhibition. When you see it why not snap a pic and post it on social media with the hashtag #mcropen2020 and tag us @weare_pure. We’d love to see it!

Niall will be awarded a certificate marking his inclusion in the exhibition at the special preview event. After the exhibition closes his work will be photographed and placed on a digital archive. Niall can then take it home.
