Made Local Fund Donates Four iPads To Pure Art Studio

Posted on the 19th March 2020

Above you can see Pure artist Josh with one of the four iPads donated by Carling and Robinsons Brewery as part of the Made Local Fund. His smile says it all! The donated iPads have been distributed to Pure art projects in Stockport. The Made Local Fund has now expanded on their generous donation bringing it to a total of six iPads. Brilliant!

The iPads are already enabling many of our clients to explore their creativity and progress their learning. Josh is using the iPad at Pure Art Studio in Broadstone Mill. It is really valuable in his work towards a Level 2 Award in Employment Skills For The Creative and Cultural Industries.

Research and having the right resources to research well are vital parts of Josh's qualification. Having these iPads allows Josh and others to do this independently. It also gives them the flexibility to explore their ideas and creativity.

Ceramics

Artists at our Ceramics studio were thrilled to receive two of the iPads. These have helped Pure ceramicists produce work that will soon be showcased at Manchester Museum. The theme of their exhibition is Heirlooms and Treasured Memories.

The iPads have allowed the artists to take control of their projects. It has given them the ability to pursue their ideas using references, images and information to feed into their artwork.

Made Local Fund

The Made Local Fund is a multi-million-pound investment to regional projects across UK run by Carling. It generously supports local community projects across the country and we are delighted Pure Art Studio is one of them.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Carling, Robinsons Brewery for donating the iPads and Semble for their additional support. Everyone is getting such great use from the devices already. We do look forward to seeing and sharing the work that they create.
