An Employer’s View on Pure Supported Employment.

How do employers find the experience of working with Pure Supported Employment teams and clients?

You can read an employer’s view on Pure Supported Employment below.

It centres on client Richard, who was supported into paid work with Affinity Insurance Solutions Ltd,  by Stockport Pure Employment Officer, Rebekka Mitton. Here is an email from Anthony Mckennell to Rebekka, shared with his permission.

Since day one, I’ve been particularly impressed with the relationship between Richard and yourself. It was clear you had already spent some time with Richard before I met with you both on day one, and I could clearly see the benefits this brought. Richard had obviously been taken out of his comfort zone, but your guidance appeared to help him overcome any barriers/blockers and made it much easier for him to tolerate, overcome and work with the situation.

As a company, we pride ourselves on being a supportive, inclusive and diverse place to work. With our existing approach and working with teams like Pure Innovations, it’s reassuring that there are opportunities for all, including those who need additional help and support to get into a new role.

You showed patience when you were supporting Richard, helping him solve situations in his own way. I was also impressed with how much 1 on 1 time you offered and provided. I wasn’t expecting you to stay for the length of time you did, but again, this is testament to why Richard’s been able to stay and work with us.

Richard’s work has been of a good standard and, whenever he’s needed any support from you, you’ve literally been a phone call away. Watching you support and work with Richard has been impressive. You clearly enjoy your work.

Thanks for all of the support you’ve provided.

It has been a pleasure working with Anthony and Affinity Insurance.
