Abid’s Cafe Crew Story
Abid has flourished in his role as a member of The Boathouse Cafe Crew.
From reserved young man to dynamic member of the team, Abid has been on quite a journey in his short time with Pure.
He first joined The Cafe Crew at The Boathouse in Oldham’s Alexandra Park in November 2017 and very quickly began to relax in the friendly environment.
Pure runs the cafe and provides brilliant opportunities for clients to acquire catering and hospitality skills, fully supported by our trained staff.
Abid enjoys a wide variety of roles including food preparation, pot washing, setting out tables and serving customers. This is all backed up with tuition in important areas such as food hygiene and customer service.
Abid thrives on teamwork.
Abid quickly lost his initial shyness and has proved particularly well-suited to front of house services. He very happily engages in conversation with customers and makes sure they have everything they require.
Abid’s father has commented on how his son’s outlook and approach to others have benefited from spending his days with the The Boathouse Cafe Crew.
Customers old and young find Abid’s welcome and cheerfulness brightens their day.
