Intergenerational Photography Exhibition: Memory

15 Jun 25 Jun

Vernon Gallery - Below Vernon Park Café, SK1 4AR

Saturday 15 Jun 19 - Tuesday 25 Jun 19 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Pure Art Studio has teamed up with Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS), Care UK and Borough Care. Together we have created an intergenerational photography exhibition based around ‘Memory.’

The artwork will be exhibited at Pure’s own Vernon Park Gallery (underneath the café) from June 15 to June 25th.

Pure artists, CHHS students and Borough Care residents discussed questions such as… “What is your earliest memory? Do you have a favourite memory? Which memory makes you smile? Which memory still makes you laugh?” They then worked together to take these ideas and put them into visual form using photography.

June 17th

There will also be an open event on 17th June 10:0am – 11:00am where everyone involved with the project will come together to celebrate. They will also be joined by family and friends. Pure Studio Artists would also love you to come along and see this brilliant exhibition for yourselves!

We are really proud of our students and the work they have created and we would love people to come and visit the exhibition.

Kim Rowley - Head of Photography at Cheadle Hulme High School

A cheque will also be presented to the Life Story Network – an organisation that promotes sharing memories to improve the lives and wellbeing of people with dementia and their carers nationally.

We hope to see you there!
