Riyanne’s Story
Riyanne has been made really welcome by the rest of the team in her office in Manchester Town Hall. As one of Pure’s Supported Interns she will experience three different job roles spread over three ten-week placements.

"I feel like part of the team at the Town Hall."
‘I enjoy everything about the work I do’, said Riyanne. ‘I help with opening and sorting post and scanning. I also do data entry. I like the classroom work I do with the other interns too. We learn things like how to behave at work.’
Riyanne’s scheme is run in partnership with Manchester City Council and Manchester College. The aim is to improve employment skills to help the interns secure permanent paid employment.
‘Riyanne is very polite and friendly, I miss her when she is not around’, says Nichola Brown, Riyanne´s manager in the Parking Services Department.
‘Staff from Pure Innovations provided all the training for the interns so there has been no disruption to the office routine. It’s great to have the extra pairs of hands helping with our workload.’
Now Riyanne is looking forward to her next Town Hall placement.
