#PureSupport - We have a range of supported activities for adults with disabilities across Greater Manchester. They include art, sport, animation, gardening, drama and many more.
Our wide range of supported activities boost confidence, improve life skills and promote independence. They are great fun too.
Everyone has different interests and we offer something for everyone. The people we support may enjoy the great outdoors, creative hobbies, learning new skills or all of these!

Let’s take a look at three projects in more detail.
Middleton: Dunwood Park Gardening Hub
Our gardening hub at Dunwood Park in Shaw offers great opportunities to keep active, be out in the fresh air and learn horticulture skills. Nurturing a seed until it becomes a beautiful flowering plant provides a real sense of achievement. Clients grow a wide range of produce including:
See the team at work and some of the lovely plants they have grown.
Pure garden volunteers also assist Oldham Council with park maintenance, keeping the park looking pristine year round. The Council has made a generous donation of equipment to the project too – thank you!
I like it here. It keeps me busy and I have learned how to grow things like vegetables.Gerard - Pure Gardening Volunteer
Our Woodwork Team at The Boathouse in Oldham constructs a range of useful and decorative products available to order or buy on-site.
With the help of support staff clients make planters, toy boxes, bird feeders, hedgehog boxes and more. They use off-cuts of wood generously donated by… In the process they learn skills such as accurate measuring and how to use power tools safely including electric sanders and drills.
The group also constructed the counter for the Boathouse Cafe. Impressive!
At our Ceramics studio Pure artists create beautiful pieces of art. Their work is fired in our kiln making it durable and providing a lovely glossy finish.
This expressive project runs at our studio based above Vernon Park Cafe in Stockport. With the support of Pure staff artists develop their individual talent creating sculptures and other beautiful ceramic pieces. They learn etching, moulding, shaping, painting and much more.
The ceramics studio also boasts three potters wheels. Artists can now learn how to throw their own pots!
The artists may take their creations home or exhibit in our gallery or external exhibitions. Ceramics are also often sold either within Vernon Park Cafe or at various local markets.
