Sports and Exercise: Stockport
Staying active is the key to staying healthy, and our sports sessions are a great way to get moving and have fun at the same time.
We hold three fun days of sport a week at Life Leisure Avondale. Participants take part in a range of activities such as dodgeball, boccia (a form of bowls adapted for wheelchair users) football and basketball. There is a real focus on fun and teamwork.
Keeping healthy is something that affects everyone so to have the use of the facilities at Avondale is a real benefit to our clients, many of whom attend to improve their health and well-being.
We have also noticed clients growing in confidence whether that’s within themselves or engaging more with the other clients. Sport is a great way of bringing people together as well as having a good competitive edge to it!
