Community Learning & Catering

Get involved with the community and culture with our supported excursions in Oldham - plus learn catering skills

Four clients on an excursion into town.

Members of this friendly group enjoy getting out and about with Pure Support. They develop independence skills such as travelling know-how, getting to know and accessing local facilities, learning more about the area where they live and an understanding of environmental issues.  This encourages team work, planning, decision making, tolerance and generally learning to work with others. Best of all, it’s great fulfilling fun!

Along the way everyone learns about history, culture and places of interest throughout the North West. Join us as we visit some of the fantastic museums around Manchester and the wider region.

Clients interested in catering can also gain skills in customer service, front of house roles, food preparation, food hygiene, personal hygiene, general housekeeping and café etiquette.  All these skills are practiced and encourage by a dedicated Care Support Worker with a teaching and learning background. It’s great experience.
