How does it work?
Working in partnership with Stockport Progress and Recovery Centre, Citizens Advice and Stockport Council we’re able to offer a unique support service that helps people to transition away from mental health services.
The network offers social group participation, physical activities, education and training, volunteering and even peer support, designed to build and improve overall health and well-being.
Our Inclusive Approach
Moving away from statutory Mental Health Services is generally a welcome result of improvement. However, this can leave people feeling alone, overwhelmed and unsupported.
The Mental Health Network has been designed specifically to overcome these barriers to recovery by providing people with opportunities to build relationships, confidence and engagement with social activities.
Alan’s Journey
Alan was struggling with day-to-day life and social isolation became his reality. Pure identified opportunities to introduce Alan to a mixture of people in a similar position, boosting his self esteem and confidence.
Thanks to the Mental Health Network, Alan is now settled and says he’s the most relaxed he’s ever been in his life.
Referrals
