How does it work?

Individual Placement and Support (IPS) offers intensive, individually tailored support to help people who are recovering from mental health conditions to find the right job or will help them if their job is at risk.

A team of dedicated IPS specialists help to bridge the gap between healthcare and employment, working with the employer and employee to sustain employment and seek new pathways into the world of work.

What do clients gain?

The IPS Programme is designed to support clients who been diagnosed with or consider themselves to have a severe mental illness that want support with finding or sustaining employment.

Tailored, on-going support to achieve ambitions in work
Confidence to find and maintain employment
Financial independence
Reduced symptoms and on average, less time spent in hospital

Eligibility

You must:

Live in one of the ten Greater Manchester localities
Be over the age of 18
Currently be out of work or would like support with your current employment
Want to work

If you answer yes to any of the following you may be eligible for our service:

Consider yourself to have a severe mental illness
Have ever or are currently taking prescribed medication for a mental health condition
Have ever had or currently have a care coordinator
Have ever or are currently under the support of a psychiatrist
