We’re delighted to announce that Pure College has been rated Good overall in its first ever OFSTED inspection, which took place from 30 June to 2 July 2025. The college achieved Good in all key areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and provision for learners with high needs.
The OFSTED report highlights the welcoming and supportive environment at Pure College:
“Students flourish in the friendly, calm and welcoming environment that staff create.”
“Leaders have implemented ambitious, employability-focused curriculums that give students the skills they need to progress.”
“Students feel safe. They know how to report any concerns they have.”
Kaylie Crompton, Head of Pure College, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have received a ‘Good’ grading from Ofsted. This outcome is a reflection of the dedication and passion of our staff team, who work tirelessly to ensure our young people with SEND thrive in a supportive and ambitious environment.
Inspectors recognised the strength of our curriculum, the progress our students make towards independence, and the highly effective safeguarding culture we have built together. Most importantly, the report highlights how well-prepared our learners are for adult life – something that sits at the heart of our mission at Pure College.
This achievement belongs to every member of our community – staff, students, and families – and we are so proud of what we have accomplished together.”
The inspection recognises the hard work of our dedicated staff and the progress of our students, who continue to develop the confidence, independence, and employability skills that prepare them for life beyond college.
We’re proud of what our students have achieved and grateful to the staff, parents, and partners who support them every day.
