Ethan joined our Stockport Council (SMBC) team after working in a volunteer placement with the British Heart Foundation during his internship. He has now acquired the experience and skills necessary to pursue paid employment.
Ethan attended the Great Place Homes Discovery Day organised for Pure Innovations clients, followed by a group interview. He was successful in securing a grounds maintenance position with Great Place Homes and started a six-month fixed-term placement with their Stockport-based grounds maintenance team in March.
This role involves maintaining various properties and sites, including tasks such as grass cutting and bush trimming. Extensive training has been provided, and there is an opportunity for those who successfully complete the six-month placement to transition into a permanent position.
Ethan is excelling in his new role and has been enjoying working with the ground’s maintenance team.
