This interactive course is aimed to give attendees a unique and insightful window into the challenges that people with disabilities face in work as well as when striving to gain sustainable paid employment.

The training explores various small and reasonable adaptations that can make a massive impact on a person’s ability to succeed. For some, this can be the difference between independence in work or being involuntarily unemployed.

Who are we?

Pure Innovations have been successfully delivering Supported Employment since 1986 to people who are at the greatest disadvantage in seeking and retaining work.

As an organisation, we pride ourselves on our passion for recognising ability rather than focusing on disability and believe that with the right level of support people can successfully reach their employment goals.

Who is the training for?

This course is suitable for employers who are striving to champion diversity within their business by learning about ways to enable current staff or job candidates with disabilities to succeed in work. Both Management and Colleagues of all experience will benefit from this course.

Additionally, Employment Specialists will also benefit from this training in that they will receive Disability Awareness Training that is specifically designed to explore effective techniques to support people with disabilities into employment.

What can you expect?

The programme that we deliver consists of 1 day’s interactive learning. It is a mix of theory, discussion and group activities, and provides an open forum to ask any questions that sometimes people may be afraid to ask.

On occasion, employers have asked us to train specific topics or focus on certain areas and as a result we have adapted parts of the course to suit individual business needs.
