What is Stockport Supported Employment?

Stockport Supported Employment is a supported employment programme working alongside Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council. We provide 1:1 support to individuals across Stockport, helping them build essential life skills that boost their independence and confidence.

Through tailored sessions, individuals are supported to take meaningful steps toward training, volunteering or employment opportunities.

How does it work?

  • We carry out effective vocational profiling and job analysis to ensure we job match our clients to the best roles.
  • We negotiate hours, tasks, and reasonable adjustments with employers to ensure sustainable, long term outcomes for each client.
  • We signpost individuals to training opportunities and alternative provisions such as community hubs or talking therapies.
  • We assist clients in progressing to college courses or apprenticeships.

Eligibility

If you answer yes to the following you may be eligible for our service:

  • Live within a Stockport Council postcode*
  • Are over the age of 18
  • Are neurodivergent, have a learning disability or ongoing mental health problem
