What is Our Manchester?

Pure Innovations, in partnership with Manchester City Council, helps individuals to build independence, confidence, social networks, employability skills and essential life skills.

It is a person-centred programme that helps people to make meaningful steps into paid employment, while also supporting those who may be struggling to retain their current employment.

How does it work?

  • Engagement: With a starting point of assuming everyone who wants to work, can work, we proactively engage with individuals and communities to promote high aspirational careers for all.
  • Vocational Profiling: This is a process of getting to know an individual well, by building a rich profile of everything that we need to know about the person, to help match them to the right career.
  • Employer Engagement: Employers are valued as equal partners within the Supported Employment Model and their business requirements are at the heart of all conversations.
  • Job Matching: Using the vocational profile and Job Analysis we match the right person to the right role, based on the aspirations of the individual and the business needs of the employer.
  • In-work Support & Career Progression: Getting a job is the very beginning of everyone’s journey. In-work support focuses on providing personalised support to enable individuals to learn and integrate into every aspect of their job, and provides support to employers to help them to become Disability Confident.
