Ambition for Life

Skills for further learning and employment

The Ambition for Life curriculum is designed to provide the foundations of knowledge and skill that will enable students to actively engage in the world around them, whilst introducing them to the world of work.

The course exposes students to enriching experiences, opportunities to engage in social networks, build resilience and confidence and develop an executive skill set that will support them to sustain and thrive in a variety of environments such as; academic, social, voluntary and employability opportunities.

The continued focus on English, Maths and ICT ensures students continue to develop their basic skills in a functional and purposeful way to help equip them with the knowledge they need to excel in their individual destinations. English and Maths topics support students who may wish to complete Functional Skills Accreditations as well as helping to consolidate the learning taught within vocational studies and employability. Cultural capital equips students with key knowledge and skills in order to become successful, valued members of their community.
