What does an average day look like?

“No two days as an IPS Employment Specialist are the same, you will be targeted to be out in the community 65% of the time, meeting with clients in job centres, at job fairs, café’s and libraries. Meeting employers is another key part of the job; out-reach work and getting in touch, calling or attending planned meetings such as interviews and of course supporting clients while they are at work.”

What are the best things about your job?

“The best thing about my job is the flexibility and the variety. I am a people-person and love to talk so if you enjoy a good conversation then it’s the job for you. My work-life balance is excellent I have loved managing my diary – It has been fantastic for my family!”

What do you feel is most challenging about the role?

“I have a diagnosis of dyslexia, so for me the admin side of the role has always been the most challenging, however Pure Innovations have been extremely supportive by putting reasonable adjustments in place to make things easier.”
