It’s hard to believe another Access Festival has been and gone.
Once again, hundreds of people came together for an evening filled with live music, dancing, creativity, laughter and unforgettable moments. Seeing so many familiar faces, alongside people experiencing the festival for the very first time, made this year’s event absolutely amazing.
People were up singing, dancing, getting stuck into crafts, enjoying the entertainment and, most importantly, spending time together in a space where everyone could simply relax, have fun and be themselves.
One of our favourite moments came from a piece of client feedback, where someone told us their favourite part of the whole evening was the craft activities. It was lovely to see so many people getting creative throughout the night, thanks to volunteers like Lizzy from Eden Events, who generously gave up her time, materials and expertise to run one of the busiest workshops of the evening.
We were incredibly lucky to have so many amazing volunteers supporting us behind the scenes. From the team at S&P Global, who helped get everything set up before guests arrived, to our own staff, including Nigel, Rhys and Bhav, who volunteered on the doors throughout the evening.
Bhav has been part of every Access Festival since the very first one. When asked why he keeps coming back, he said:
“I am more than happy to volunteer because I can see what this night means to our clients. Emily is such an inspiration… why wouldn’t I?”
