A breakthrough IPS (Individual Placement and Support) programme has launched across Greater Manchester that will support people experiencing mental health related problems to find work whilst aiding their recovery.

The Greater Manchester IPS programme will run for three years from April 2024, open to anyone who’s employment is affected by severe mental illness. A team of dedicated IPS specialists will be deployed to bridge the gap between healthcare and employment, working with the employer and employee to sustain employment and seek new pathways into the world of work. This approach will enable clients to feel optimistic about the future and positively impact their everyday life.

Pure Innovations, a charity that supports people with disabilities or health related concerns to live with purpose and independence, will deliver the programme alongside The Growth Company and PossAbilities.
