When Chris first joined the project, he had been out of work for 3 years. His confidence was low, and he needed some help to find the right job for him. He had been a traffic warden for 20 plus years previously and was not used to being out of work. He had already got his SIA card to become a security guard, and this was his main aim.
Chris agreed that applying for a job in Asda would be a good idea. Chris had support with the job application and then the employment officer attending the interview with him. He was offered the job the week after his interview.
Chris is now in full time employment working as a security colleague for Asda in Stockport. He started in November and has been enjoying it so far, he likes that they are training him up slowly as it is a big store, and he wants to ensure he learns everything he needs to.
