It is more important than ever in these difficult times to support fellow charities. That is why this year we continued with our annual events to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you to everyone who helped us collect a current total of £370 for the charity.
The Kitchen
Our bakery The Kitchen has been selling boxes of delicious cakes to staff at Wythenshawe Hospital with all proceeds going to Macmillan. Staff have been ordering £5 boxes with three cakes in each box, which we then deliver to them. Clients have been involved in baking and as you can see above also helping to make the cake boxes.
All the cake are fresh and homemade at The Kitchen bakery. There’s a range of cakes to choose from including sticky toffee, carrot cake, our popular Malteaser tiffin and many more. The staff have all been so happy with their cakes raising a total of £67.50 so far.
Etherow Park Cafe
Etherow Park Cafe spent a full week raising money for Macmillan selling the £5 cakes boxes and tea cups filled with ginger biscuits for just £1. Altogether, they raised £106.40!
Our Other Cafés
Vernon Park Café, Dunwood Park Café and The Boathouse Café held cake sales to raise money for the charity and had great fun doing so. Sales to generous customers raised a total of £160. Thank you!
Jonathan Burns Centre
Our Pure Support base in Middleton held a raffle. They have sold tickets with the chance to win a hamper of goodies. These included chocolates, soaps and cool gifts made by clients at our Creative Hub.
Everyone who bought a ticket hoping to win the fab hamper has helped raise £36.
